In South Indian region Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam comprise the bunch of spoken medium. Government schools offer education in the regional languages. North India has wider range of regional languages such as Bihari, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi etc. These regions too have government run educational institutes in the regional languages as the teaching medium and various subjects have books written in those languages.
