A technical report is a formal report designed to convey technical information in a clear and easily accessible format. It is divided into sections which allow different readers to access different levels of information. This guide explains the commonly accepted format for a technical report; explains the purposes of the individual sections; and gives hints on how to go about drafting and refining a report in order to produce an accurate, professional document.

1. Listening
Listening is the ability to accurately receive and interpret messages in the communication process.

the action of conveying information or expressing one's feelings in speech

 Listening is the ability to accurately receive and interpret messages in the communication process. 

4.  Writing:
Writing is a medium of human communication that represents language and emotion with signs and symbols. It consists of letters or characters that serve as visible signs of ideas, words, or symbols.

6. Define hard skills.
Hard Skills are easy to identify and define with respect to a particular profession. These are the technical skills that are associated with a respective profession. For example in the case of a mechanical engineer the hard skills would be the personnel‘s ability with machines.

7. Significance of communication skills for an engineering student.
Professionals who are proficient in communication skills have a considerable edge over those who have not. Communication skills are considered as a salient feature in the making of a global professional.

8. Significance of English for an engineering student. 
For students whose mother tongue is not English, mastering English is even more important, not only for their academic life but also for their prospective career.  Inadequate proficiency in English language, lack of exposure, low level of confidence and weak soft skills do not let them uphold in the global marketplace. Thus, LSRW training is essential for  any undergraduate programme.
